UH can't pay him as much as Auburn, A&M, or USCe.

May not be about the money. Why not take the Houston job? Less pressure to win big. If he doesn't succeed then he can go back in the ranks of DC. But what happens if he takes the USCe, A&M or AU DC jobs and goes a couple of years 8-4? Then he is pretty much out of being HC or DC?

It's Auburn or Houston right now. Texas A&M was never in it, and South Carolina wasn't in it near as much as their fans lead on.

1. Tony got fired after an 8-5 & 7-5 season. He's going to have to compete at a higher level for job security at UH. He had it perfect at UF with a down East and all the recruits in the world and still couldn't get it done.

2. It doesn't matter what the final record is if he isa DC, It is all about how the defense fairs. Look at what a hot commodity Bud Foster is after VT having multiple not so great year.
