it is very hypocritical to deny service or goods to anyone period...

In Acts of the Bible is told the story of gathering together all that one could and selling to help those in need. In doing this, they sold the goods to whomever had the funds to buy period.

I understand the thought behind it, sad really that we have to have legislation to treat others in the way Christ would want us too. And then try to teach them in the process, not judge!

There are also passages in the bible that deems slavery to be OK and an acceptable practice.

People shouldn't try to use a 2000+ year old text to legislate today's world, we have all evolved, those who want to do this seem to have a huge problem with countries in other parts of the world practicing this with another ancient text they deem to be wrong and heresy.
