As a Bama fan who moved North and knows quite a few Buckeye fans, I believe I am in a perfect position to answer this question:

Just don't be yourself. Then after you stay in New Orleans for a few days, NOT being someone from Ohio, embrace this newfound humanity. Keep not being yourself. If you decide to return to Ohio (ill advised), perhaps you can bring back a sliver of humanity to that state.

Is NOLA really that much fun? Yes, I know Ohio is boring and flat.... Never been down to NOLA, much less to Louisiana but excited to go down. Won't have tickets but excited to take in the atmosphere.

You will love it. One of the great things about the Sugar Bowl is that you don't always need tickets to enjoy it if you're in NOLA.

NOLA is a great town. Just be careful of your surroundings and travel in groups. Big games bring out people not associated with the game at all. Easy pickings for the criminal element in the Quarter.

Yes. Pretty sleezy on Bourbon street but that kind of makes for a fun atmosphere. You would enjoy going except for the game. Vegas has us by 10pts and I don't it will be that close.

Best time I've ever had before and after a football game was in NOLA after the Sugar Bowl game a few years ago. Can't wait for Dec 30th and my flight down.
