There really is no good way to do this. You can't just keep adding extra games. These are college kids.
As of now, the two teams in the title game will have played 15 games. That's too many already. With your proposal it's possible for a team to play 16. That's an NFL season.
I really wish they would have never went to a playoff, but with everything now it's all about the money.
