They lobbied hard to get Notre Dame to end their self-imposed bowl ban to play against Texas in the 1969 Cotton Bowl when LSU at 9-1 was all lined up to play them. Texas was scared LSU would shut them out again like they did in '63, ruin their championship hopes and even up the series record.
Texas refused to play LSU for 40 years, from their shutout loss in '63 to the 2002 Cotton Bowl. 40 fricking years Texas and LSU didn't play. That's absurd.
And now those coward bastards want us to join their league so they can jerk us around?

WTF are you even talking about?
Anyway, the only schools I see with a mutual interest would be Memphis, Cincy, Colorado St and maybe BYU. Shoulda got Louisville when they had the chance.
