Such bullshite backfilling and excuses to justify what they wanted to happen. It's bad for Birmingham and bad for UAB as an independent institution. Very frustrating the lack of accountability and recourse that are available for some non-profits, universities, etc.

AU folks were through with Lowder more than a couple years before the university was through with him. The state senate went to put him back on (over the votes of the Alumni), but enough hell was raised that it was stopped.

This is exactly why I'm pissed about this.

I didn't want to be transferred to this backwater state... but at least I got transferred to the one major city in it.

Now, these Bammer retards are hell bent on killing the one institution that makes Birmingham a livable city. Without UAB, Birmingham would be Montgomery with a bigger crime problem... there would be no banks here. There would be no lingering remnants of the steel and manufacturing industry.
