Think of the pettiness that Paul Bryant Jr. has towards UAB.
Now multiply that by a googol (the actual number) and you have the bullshite with Texas.
They literally tried to pull that same crap with A&M in the late 1800's.

Ahhh, yes. Because A&M simply said "bye" without trashing Texas before heading out the back door.
Well... no, that's not what happened. The Aggies tried to blame everything under the sun on Texas, even the Big 12's unequal revenue distribution for which they themselves voted.
It's called revisionist history, old man. And you fell for it, hook line and sinker.
