I just hate comparing the whole "Dooley had time and look what happened" shite to now. Football 1960-1988 was a totally different animal. And, as was pointed out, Dooley had Herschel to carry him to a title and the guy still only won one national title out of it.
Patience isn't going to reward Georgia. All it will do is continue to deliver us the same helping of meh every year. Either you're comfortable with the status quo of a FL bowl every year or you're not. My opinion hasn't changed of Richt.
Meanwhile I am getting more and more used to this song and dance of seeing people hate him and then see a couple recruits come in or Georgia pound on some mediocre teams (like the fricking should in the first place) and suddenly our lord and savior is only "unlucky" or a "on the right path". Whether you like the man or think he is our best option Mark Richt is what Mark Richt is.
I like the man but I fricking loathe what he represents. Complacency mixed with unprepared. It's an indictment on him as a head coach and the program that surrounds him. But, we'll continue this song and dance like we always do. I'll keep watching Georgia and waiting for the holy frick loss and then prepare my anus for when they play teams that are actually good.
