Saban had to reign Kiffin in. Defense in college between equally talented programs relies on schemes. You can find the holes in schemes after about 8 possessions.

If A&M is to have any defensive success, then they have to change their offense to hold the ball longer.



And the Alabama program has had infinitely more prestige and success than the A&M program. They're hardly comparable. So kiffin to bama is not a good comparison. Also Saban has been a proven head coach at the highest level of multiple jobs. Sumlin won conf USA once I guess? So which job reference would you want?
