Fayetteville is more fun for non-students.
I'll agree with that.

Wow
Oxford has nothing going for it economically outside of Ole Miss. It's very run down and just not that nice outside of campus. Yes I have been to ole miss games many times and often went down for fun to hang with friends. It's not that nice a town and my ole miss friends 100% admit Fayetteville is nicer than Oxford no questions asked.
Also, ole miss does have a nice square area.

Excluding Nashville, I think Athens, Oxford and Fayetteville are the nicest towns in the conference. But Oxford > Fayetteville brah
I hear people say they love Nashville all the time. I just don't see it. Of course, country music isn't my thing. I'd rank Fayetteville and Athens way up there, with Oxford a notch below. Bar and entertainment scenes are comparable, but Fayetteville's setting in the Ozark mountains is just a lot prettier than a distant suburb of Memphis sitting in a cotton field in northern Mississippi.

Both places are fun. Fayetteville is too far away from everything else on earth, though.
I'd love to go back but I sure as heck am not driving 12345 hours up there again.

I remember parking at one of the saddest little quasi-malls just north of campus the last time I was there for a game. Also stopped at a convenience store on the way into town to get some cold beer. Wait - what? You don't sell cold beer? You have to buy warm beer and ice it down? Huh? Advantage: Fayetteville.

do the bars still close at midnight?

We sell cold beer in Oxford now. Does that mean we're tied?

Oh you mean the hell hole that people only went to because there was a theatre there? Nobody goes there anymore except for parking now since there's been a new theatre built

No longer a law.

Of course not. The proximity of Oxford to Memphis will secure its eternal inferiority to Fayetteville.
But when did they start selling cold beer? Seriously - we were driving into town and were re-stocking, and they didn't sell cold beer at the convenience store. Seemed strange.

Don't shoot the messenger. Unless he gets good meth down there in Oxford.

Oxford is weed and coke.

There is no correlation between how many tickets we buy and how well our team plays on the field.
