That's 16 years and counting - the longest period ever without a repeat champion by any current conference. Now that Auburn is out of the race there will be no repeact champion this year.

Even Saban couldn't do it during Bama's dynasty years. Saban has more national titles than SEC titles FWIW.

Yes, because there are more than two good teams in the conference these days. Tennessee isn't one of them, however.

SEC titles since Tennessee last won one:

LSU - 4
Alabama - 3
Auburn - 3
Florida - 3
Georgia - 2
