If you're referring to our version - we had it first. We sued Tejas over it but eventually settled for Tejas being able to use West of the Mississippi because litigation would've been drawn out and I don't thing we initially copyrighted it because it was so OLD. Back then, no one watched games out of time zone so it seemed reasonable.

Our Power T was introduced by then-Head Coach Doug Dickey and debuted 1964, Johnny Majors tweaked it a tad in 1977. As you can see (below) not only did we TM/Copyright it this time around but Tejas' blocky arse T actually looks nothing like it:



Not only did TU attempt to to steal our logo(s) but they very, very, poorly imitated our colors with their cowhide orange - burnt umber if you ask me.

None of this mattered early on when few games were televised but it's annoying as shite now.
