Until the Razorbacks start winning a decent number of SEC football games, Jeff Long will catch flack.

Which is beyond short-sighted. When it comes to coaches, his job is to bring in top level coaches, make sure to retain them if the win for us in the way we want or fire them if they don't.

So far he has hired a top 10 football coach and locked him up to a contract that was going to keep him here for a long time, he brought home the peoples choice for basketball who was also extremely qualified with sweet 16 and elite 8 appearances as a head coach and then hired a top 15 head coach for football with 3 previous BCS appearances. One more than the top 10 coach had.

While doing that he has brought our support facilities out of the Stone Age and to a level where we can finally go toe to toe with the elite in the conference on the level.

If Bielema continues to lose and is still here in 5-7 years then you would have a legitimate gripe. However, he hasn't shown yet that he is afraid to fire a coach that isn't getting it done.

Some of our fans act like he's cool with paying Bielema to go 0-8 for the next 10 years as long as he can continue to have a refreshing Pepsi product in his skybox while laughing at all the poors at his feet.

Good discussion.

Although I still say, we're on an 0-17 in conference. That cannot be underscored enough.

And yes, I was in the stadium when we lost to Citadel. I was here for Ford. I've seen the worst and this IS comparable but admittedly has a few mitigating factors.
