1. Recruiting Ranking don't mean shite, Quality coaching and player development wins games. (See Mizzou's defensive line, none were highly recruited, and one will win SEC defensive POTY for the second consecutive year)
2. We don't pay recruits to come to Mizzou, and are still able to compete at the highest level.
3. Mizzou doesn't play the injuries /suspension /East is down excuses card. We win with the players we have, and play the games on our schedule.
4. Mizzou doesn't loose to inferior conference opponents. Florida may not have the worst record in the conference, but they're among the worst teams in the SEC.
5. The SEC might be overrated
6. Georgia gonna Georgia (See UT, See UF, ...)
7. Kentucky still sucks
8. UT is "rebuilding" for another 7 seasons
9. Vandy is probably the second best team in the East
10. Florida has Jeff Driskle

You might want to wait until you actually clinch the division.

For UT the season was over at least 3 weeks ago

they don't mean everything but if you aren't in the talent league of other teams in your conference you are at a serious disadvantage. Look at who has won the SEC in the last decade and notice only teams with excellent recruiting have won: UGA, UF, LSU, Auburn, Alabama. Even good but not great recruiting at places like USC puts you at a disadvantage

If we beat UT I'm calling it clinched, unless UGA manages to pull out a miracle against Auburn

Uh, maybe if you want "SEC East Champ" to be your crowning achievement. Ask any coach in the nation, recruiting is the #1 factor when it comes to winning actual Championships.

They are the exception to the rule.
Fill your roster with 2* and 3* players. See how well you do.

The only 247sports consensus four stars on our two deep are Evan Boehm, Nate Brown, and Josh Augusta. Everybody else is a two or three star. All our starters on defense are consensus two or three stars, and that defense is the top in conference play in a bunch of defensive statistics.

anecdotes that distract from the larger point. you could just as easily list a few five stars and claim that proved the opposite
of course some 3 star or unranked players turn out to be great - there are so many more of them that obviously some will develop or have been over-looked. but the 4 and 5 stars are fewer and are individually much more likely to end up being NFL material or outstanding in college.

What's Florida's lineups look like? I'm gonna bet it's mostly 4* guys. Recruiting means dick, Driskel was a 5* for fricks sake.
