Dak is going nowhere. He's not getting a first round grade. We've never had a player leave early for less.

So, are you in "trouble" next year without Bo? Remember last offseason when we were in trouble at QB anyway? When all the talk about Dak was "just MSU bullshite because he torched Rice"?

At some point, you have to just admit that Mullen creates great dual threat QBs. He went awhile before "his guy" was ready at MSU -- but he's got him now and there's more developing in the pipeline for us. The QB situation has literally never been better at MSU...

I'm not saying Mullen can't develop quarterbacks. Quite the opposite actually, I've said several times on this board that if Dak had gone to any other school he wouldn't have been near as successful as he has been at State. Perfect coach and system for him.

And we may be in trouble without Bo next year but whoever our next quarterback is won't have very much stress on him. He's being handed the keys to a Porsche with all of his key skill players coming back (minus Sanders) and an even better offensive line than this year with more depth.
I do agree that Dak isn't leaving early unless he wins the Heisman and a national title.

You can say this about practically every great team in the country. What is FSU without Winston? A borderline top 25 team just like MSU would be without Dak.

Agree and disagree. I think FSU without Winston would have lost to Notre Dame but they did beat a pretty damn good Clemson team without him so they're likely in the top 10 without him just because of the amount of talent they have. State would be around 15-20 without Dak. Your defense is good enough and you have Robinson to keep you there.

Same is true at MSU. With a couple of totally elite playmakers coming.

State also returns 4 guys up front with starting experience. At some point, people are going to have to accept that this isn't likely to be a problem for us under Hevesy regardless of how many starz we recruited.

They survived Clemson at home in OT. Same Clemson team Spurrier is going to thump for the 6th or 7th time in a row in spite of being the 9th or 10th best team in the SEC this year.

That's probably pretty close. But the point is -- practically no elite team is the same without their starting QB. So I don't see how that can be held against us.

Calling it now -- the winner of the Fitzgerald/Staley battle is going to be hell on wheels in 2 more years. Fitz is well ahead at this point.
