Alabama cannot be SEC champs as you stated unless Ole Miss loses. Therefore, they do not control their own destiny.

There is no conference champion tie in, so based on what we've seen, you certainly do control your own playoff destiny.

If you're guarding against the slim possibility you get left out and heartbroken, I get that, but practically speaking, Bama controls its own destiny.

IMO Alabama does not get in if Ole Miss wins out. The excuse the committee uses should be interesting, because at that point they would have beaten two of the teams on that first Top 4, beaten the team that beat yet another team on the list, and probably will have the top strength of schedule of all the teams still in consideration.

At that point all the excuses they would have will be"conference champs". Which is B.S., but this is what is coming.

With an FSU loss, Alabama could be left off while being the Coaches Poll and AP number one team in the country. And yes we will damn sure claim it.

allin posted this: Bama controls there own destiny. Win out and they are Probable SEC champs and in the playoffs, lose and they are out.

The first part of it, the part I was referring to, is factually incorrect no matter how you look at it.
