Franklin struggles last year people are calling for MM to replace.

MM struggles and people are calling for Printz. At beginning of season people on this board were discussing MM as dark horse Heisman candidate.

Patience.

If anyone is going to replace MM it will be Lock in 1-2 years.

That being said, I'm okay with getting Printz a few reps as you want our backup prepared. I don't think it is prudent to call for Printz to replace MM when MM was clearly the better performer in the spring. Best case, you bring in Printz, he performs admirably and you have a QB until Lock is ready. The chance of 'best case' happening is slim when he was clearly not as good as MM in practices, Printz has no game experience and you would be throwing Printz in a starting role in the middle of your SEC schedule (granted, we do have Vandy next).

Worst case, you have a Florida situation where you destroy the confidence of your starter, your freshman QB is not ready to play and all of a sudden you are playing magic chairs with your qb's in the middle of conference play.

I'm as frustrated as anyone. If we had a 3rd of 4th year version of Franklin, Gabbert, or Daniel this team would have a top 10 ranking with the way the defense is playing. Unfortunately, we have a 2nd year version of MM. We are stuck with MM until Lock is ready, MM is hurt or MM shits the bed for another few games.

If I had a list of problems with this coaching staff the ranking of players on the depth chart would be near the bottom. Number one problem is probably recruiting, but, on the flip side, their biggest strength is player development. Let them have more time to develop MM before we call for his head.
