Can anyone tell me why Pack is still returning punts?

I know he is a supremely talented athlete, but he has made multiple mistakes in recent weeks (the muffed punts against Memphis; calling for a fair catch at the Aggie four-yard line last night).

Is there anyone else who we could put back there to return kicks?

Our return game is weak af. We need to work on that before we play a good team.

Because Isaiah McKenzie fricked us as part of the Great Tunsil Tax of 2013.

Was just about to edit and say that. Ryan Newsome would really really help with that next year.

I can't wait until we play a good team.

It's aggravating AF that our schedule is abysmal.

Could Walton not return punts? Seems like he would be great at it

That's what I've been wondering. It appears Walton is starting to separate himself as our #1 back though so they may be wanting to limit him to KO returns.

I thought I read (Kellenberger?) that Walton has some trouble judging punts.

I've been wondering why Brazely couldn't do it. It would get him back in the action. I thought he ran it well early in the season. He's shifty. He may not catch well, though.

Fact.

Davis was the clear leader for this job.

In freeze's interview on Monday he basically said our goal with punt returns is "not to turn the ball over and not to make mistakes".. That tells me he's not super confident in anyone we have back there and Pack is just out there basically to catch it and maybe run it out if he has tons of space. I'm sure pack or someone else will eventually be good back there but for now not turning the ball over is more important.
