Is it that Kenny has no "touch"?

Having caught passes from a QB in HS who had one speed on his balls: 1,000 mph, and being that I lived through and was scarred for life by the Reggie Years, it's been impressed on me just how much touch matters.

There were several times in yesterday's game where short passes were "dropped" (stone handed or completely through the hands, really) when it looked to me like the ball was just thrown too damn hard for the distance. I'm interested in seeing if the Ark saw the same thing or if I'm alone on this.

I think we saw his Young QB moment.

Kenny is fine, receivers on the other hand sucks so bad

This is exactly what I have been wondering. In the SC game it seemed that every ball, however accurate, was a freaking ROCKET. After Arky and yesterday I am really thinking the touch and timing is lacking. But remember these are things that can be improved on

Eh, yes and no. Most of the downfield drops are on the receivers. But I saw some short range passes that looked like they ended up being incompletions because he just blasted them.

It's on the receivers to catch catchable passes. But "catchable" is defined by both accuracy and velocity. Having been on the receiving end of QBs with touch and without touch, I know what it's like to be like "dude, frick you - there's no need to sprain my fingers with a laser-guided missile when I am 8 yards away total".

Yeah, he has to get it there fast enough to beat the closure of the window, but most of our stuff is designed just to get YAC. They can't begin to get YAC if Kenny's throwing fastballs at them and they can't make what ought to be a simple grab. I think his baseball background is a negative when it comes to this.

I think it's more that he has accuracy issues and throws a lot of wobblers.

Yep. Seems like there are way too many crossing routes within 10-12 yards of LOS where the receiver is having to reach back back on the run or hit the brakes. Most of the time the receivers are open and being trailed so a throw behind is problematic in a couple of ways. These are on Kenny.

Too many of the drops were on the receivers though. Was a mess on Saturday. It is very fixable though.
