Nope. Not why they were banned.

Shug Jordan, Auburn Coach, filed a complaint with the SEC commissioner because he his players couldn't hear signals called by his QB.

Today's rules for ringing are much less restrictive than when they were first allowed back into the stadium. It's inconceivable to me that people intentionally ring them during prohibited periods.

Yep, the real reason was just as I said.

It did involve Auburn & that was the excuse. Game was in Jackson, as were most of the State home games with Auburn in those years.

If you go to the game Saturday, you will see & hear the "inconceivable" with your own eyes.

But, NOT by me, Auburn runs a snap like ours; leg lift instead of clap.
