Dr. Mark E. Keenum
President
Mississippi State University
P.O. Box 6018
Lee Hall, Suite 4000
Mississippi State, MS 39762

DELIVERED VIA ELECTRONIC MAIL

Dr. Keenum:

I trust that this letter finds you well. Like the entire Mississippi State family, I am excited that Coach Dan Mullen's football team finally tasted victory over our SEC West brethren from Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College this past weekend. 15 years is a long time to wait. However, the ending probably took 15 years off of my life!

The purpose of this letter is to make your office aware of my disappointment in one of our student-athletes, Dillon Day. As you are aware, Mr. Day was called for a personal foul in the contest against LSU, an infraction that followed two questionable plays earlier in the game. Back in our day, we were lucky to be able to watch a football game on television. Now, with the advancement of technology, we have high definition cameras that capture the action in great detail. These cameras captured Mr. Day stomping aggressively on student-athletes from LSU.

I believe that you would agree with me that the sportsmanship of Mr. Day was questionable, if not intentional. While there is no way the cameras can capture the intent of Mr. Day, the fact that the infraction occurred twice, and Mr. Day being suspended by the Southeastern Conference during the 2013 season, should shed light on my concern of this being a "dirty play."

As you are aware, the Southeastern Conference mandated a one-game suspension of Mr. Day. I believe that this is a fair punishment, and I hope that the university, through its Dean of Students, requires of Mr. Day what it would require of a non-student athlete that found themselves in similar circumstances.

My main concern that now, when the nation hears about the Mississippi State football team, they hear about this incident of dirty play rather than the exciting win on Saturday night. This is an embarrassment to the Mississippi State family.

Thank you for your consideration, and Hail State!

Odd things to include in such a letter, but university presidents are sometimes an odd breed.

so this is the purpose of your letter? So fricking noble of you. I'm sure Dr. Keenum is going to really take your expression to heart. He will probably print it out, frame it, and hang it in the MSU athletic building.

Na, not really. He will more than likely chortle loudly, print it out, and wipe his stink hole with it. ROFL

First off, I was one of the few who thought Dillon purposefully stomped on the two players and think one game suspension is deserved. Secondly, I thought you were just an overyly-apologetic pussy when you stated you were going to write a letter. After reading your letter, I now know you're an attention seeking pussy over-apologists. What in your letter do you think Keenum hasn't already known? What more do you want out of Keenum? Do you want Keenum to suspend him another game? Doesn't seem like it because you believe a one game suspension is a "fair punishment", so I don't see the point in your post other than to make yourself feel good as a little Miss "I did the write thing today and stood up for what I believe in". There's nothing wrong with that if it helps you sleep at night except for when you do it for attention which is exactly what you did by posting it on this or any other website. We didn't need to see your letter. Did you think we would think you're smart because you called LSU, "Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College"? Or in case we didn't realize how smart you were then, you'd use words like brethren and throw in "Class of XXXX" to let us all know that you're an educated man. Get over yourself. Day made a dirty play and has received the proper punishment in an appropriate amount of time. This entire situation has been blown out of proportion, and you are just being an arrogant, overly-apologetic arse.
