Alabama has a real rival; they are called Auburn.

to protect the bama vs ut series at the expense of the rest of the conference sucks. it's NOT just about schedule parity, it's about NOT BEING ABLE TO PLAY OTHER GREAT SEC SCHOOLS for the rest of us. unless we go to a 9 game SEC slate, the rest of us simply get screwed. in LSU's case, that means WE hardly ever get to face USCe, UT, UGA, Mizzou, Kentucky or Vandy. it's like these games, when they finally arrive are OOC contests.

i'm sure you will discount the above but there are MANY SEC fans that agree. either we are a conference that sticks together or not.

there are solutions to the problem other than the 9 game schedule. the 9 game schedule may hurt the SEC placing a team in the NC playoff. the rest of the country wants to exclude the SEC any chance they get even tho it means dipshit BYU, etc gets in.

Well then send a letter to your AD and President to vote for a 9 game schedule.

Since Spurrier left UF has had 4 seasons where they won 10 games or more.

Look, I don't like the perm rival thing either. But as much as I joke about the REC running the SEC, it seems LSU fans put WAY too much on the Bama/Tenn game.

What keeps the perm rival thing going is that game PLUS GA/Barn PLUS all the lower teams wanting each other guaranteed on the schedule. Most SEC teams voted for the perm rivals so its not just Bama and not just this game.

Even if that was it that has no bearing on why here on the Rant, where nothing matters, they still defend Tenn. Its not like the SEC Front Office is going to read some post on here and say "yeah that clinched it, we have to defend that game."
