It wasnt a first down. The ref should have pulled out an index car for clarification but he didnt. The last "chain link" thing the Auburn fan is trying to claim in here is completely false. Just something stupid Gary said that people are running with now

Re-watch the play. Thompson got an obvious push before his forward momentum was stopped. We had a bad spot from the get go.
Not to mention there is no telling f UGA scores or not if it wasn't a first. Hell in the previous drive they didn't score from the 4.

More bullshite. In all the years I've worked as HL, I've never had a WH pull out a card....not once.
I've never seen that procedure listed in any mechanics manual or discussed in any officiating clinic.
The chains are pulled, the WH takes a look, makes the call, and it's done.
