Very interesting. Basically y'all have a good tradition with Arkansas, an okay tradition w/ LSU, and virtually no history with any other team in the conference.
I know A&M is happy to be in the SEC w/ the money and football prestige, but don't you feel a loss at all the history from losing your old games (not just Texas, but whoever else your most commonly played opponents are).

Oh yeah, Baylor, TxTech, TCU and Rice.

Other than tu, Baylor and Tech there is no one in the XII that we have substantial history with.
Tech is about the same for us as Arkansas. While I think we have played Tech a few more times than Arkansas, playing Arkansas is a much bigger game for us.
And back when we played LSU annually OOC before they chickened out in 1996, that was always our second biggest game of the year.
So basically it is a myth that we lost our longtime rivals. We are glad to rid ourselves of Baylor and Tech, and gladly exchange them for playing LSU and Arkansas annually.
At some point the A&M/tu series will resume. But they will need to quit pouting first.

Not really. We only had history with three teams in the Big 12 (UT, Tech and Baylor). frick UT, IDGAF about Baylor and Tech really. It's not like we were leaving a conference where we had this long and storied history with every team, the Big 12 was completely cobbled together
Basically same thing he said above me^
