Since you've been getting grinded on pretty hard, let me also drop another stat on you.

State played almost every game in Baton Rouge until the 70's. State would split gate revenue for those games with LSU. So state made more money playing in BR than in Starkville or Jackson. We did the same with Auburn. We played our "home" games in Birmingham.

Dude, up until 1971 LSU and Tulane had the largest stadiums in the SEC.

A few teams played as many games as possible in Tiger Stadium, they made more money that way.
