If this were true, those same NFL scout would have started to devalue Alabama defensive prospects several years ago. Alabama has probably had 8 or 10 defensive players drafted in the first round under Saban and those players have combined for a grand total of zero Pro Bowls so far. If you have that many first round draft picks, you would think at least 1 of them would make at least 1 Pro Bowl

Dareus made the Pro Bowl. You can use the excuse that he was the backup choice or whatever, but he led all DTs in run stops and had almost ten sacks. He wasn't one of the first options because he plays in Buffalo.
