Who lines up for nickel and dime with our safeties out?

With Jarrick Williams out and Nick Perry out for the first half, two of the guys we had playing big minutes in nickel and dime are out. Is it LC, Washington, Geno, Mo Smith, Eddie Jackson, and Cyrus Jones? Does Tony Brown maybe find some significant play time here?

You have it right...we should've been playing Brown from day one imo, that's the only way he is going to get better.

Washington will have a spot in dime, at least

How do we have all this talent and yet secondary always seems to be a weak spot for us.

Yeah he will but I hope it's not at money. Prefer LC or Dillon Lee there. There's a few different possibilities.

i agree. Washington doesnt have the build to be effective against the run. LC is money at the money spot. But i think against A&M they will try to put him where he can have the best matchup; might be at money, might be somewhere else.
i havent seen hardly anything out of Dillon Lee this year. one of the biggest surprises.

FS: Geno Smith
SS: Landon Collins
Star: Maurice Smith
CB: Eddie Jackson
CB: Cyrus Jones or Tony Brown
Cyrus to start and if he cant get cover Dunbar or whoever comes to his side then Brown comes in. I hope EJ shadows Demarcus Robinson. Doubt we go into 6 DBs much, but when we do I hope Washington doesnt come in. Hootie Jones would be my pick at SS and play LC at money

Damn. Spot on RJ. I like the hootie idea. Hell of a lot better than Washington. That attempted tackle jabriel had against WVu was embarrassing.

Tony Brown doesnt play nickel DB, he plays boundary corner. Cyrus would be the only one who can play star or nickel corner. The way RJ has it is the best 6 on the field in their most productive spots.
Hootie being the 6th guy over Washington is much better

yea yea yea ......Hootie wont be out there .Starting Nickel will be 5 of the 6 I mentioned

we played and started in dime sat. LC played in the LB spot many plays. I am not sure what kind of O UF runs but I doubt it is any more explosive than WVU ran and we only gave up 16 offensive points. not sure names but 23 and 24 played a lot along with LC. I think these are the guys who will be in the mix along with TB being one of 3 CB's

Hootie isn't going to get his first valuable PT against Florida. Washington has been being groomed for a deep safety spot which will allow LC to play in the box.
Why is it so hard for some of y'all to understand knowledge > athleticism? We've seen it time and time again and yet every year somebody is calling for the freshman stud who doesn't know the playbook to start over the guy the coaches are most comfortable with.

Hootie is number 6. right? If he is not number six then I have him confused.

Perry being may hurt the tweak of Landon being in at LB
Posted on 9/15/14 at 6:52 pm to UAFanFromNOLA
I like Geno and Washington at Safety, Mo at Star, LC at Money, Cyrus and EJ at corner

Yeah Hootie is #6. He came in for a play or two when Landon had his helmet knocked off, but I don't remember seeing him after that.
Washington will probably still play safety along with Geno and put Mo at star. But it's probably just an issue of matching personnel.
