We'll see if we can adjust. Culturally and politically we are decades, centuries, millenia behind the hard sciences depending on how you look at it. We teach things and enact laws and believe things that have been disproven. Everything we have is based in science but everyone is based in emotion and rationalization; we're a philosophical culture living in a technological world. And those who understand that can manipulate us to their science, invisibly. Because of our nature.
