He could have shown a bit more humility when asked, coulda said something like "hopefully our play this year will continue to justify a nickname" big ask for a young kid just after a huge win though.
But yeah, I agree, picking a nickname from a selection provided by your teamates is not at all the same thing as nicknaming yourself and then informing everyone of your decision.

Absolutely. He should have refused to answer the question, but it's a lot to ask a kid that young to have that level of experience answering questions like that.

He could have said "No nickname. I'm Kenny hill" so that the media would have given him a nickname. He made the choice to name himself Kenny trill, whether from a list or not is irrelevant, which is the definition of dubbing oneself. Sorry y'all can't grasp that.
