That's why everyone around the country knows about Aggie jokes. Our governor is a great representative of the Aggie culture.

Aggies just can't get over the fact most couldn't get into U Texas and they take it out on everyone else. Makes them feel better.

I agree. Tech would be on the same level as texas state

Tech IS Texas State without the nice location of San Marcos. I used to have no idea why anyone would go there instead of Texas State, but I guess it's because they have a major conference football team. Tech is such a pretender. They are a jumped-up Sam Houston or SFA that pretends to be a major American university because they have a "big conference" football team. UH is a better school. And UH isn't in the desert.

I hope you can answer because the last tech tard I asked this to didn't give a great answer. So we all know the thing to do in Lubbock is to get belligerently drunk, frick shite up, and act like animals to opposing team fanbases. Does anyone ever stop and just ask, "why"? I mean do any of you tards ever just stop and think "you know maybe I should act like a civilized human being"?

Aggie big talk is the same as a cowboy wearing a big belt buckle - trying to make up for something lacking underneath.

I was an automatic admit to both.

Tech, which I never even applied to, mailed me a letter or two a week congratulating me on my acceptance and asking when I'd be registering for class.

The alcoholics and druggies in my neighborhood who were from otherwise good families are the kids who went to Tech. The ones who had the cultural expectation to attend college but not really the will. Generally not stupid per-se, but not geniuses either. Just kind of a collection of all the frick ups and disappointments of white suburbia. One chick who blew the whole basketball team. One guy who came home after one year and spent some time in rehab for coke. Those kinds of kids.

Now you on the other hand married a super model and became CEO of a company with your world class A&M degree, am I right?

It was just a hunch. When your parents brought you home from the hospital your first day do you think they knew you'd one day be on an SEC message board talking down other colleges all the while having a picture of an A&M Ken doll getting a blow job as your sig pic?

Back in the mid 70s when I applied for college, my final choices were UT, Baylor and Tech. My score of 31 on the ACT got me in anywhere I wanted. Back then aTm was just a few years from going coed. Not something most even considered. Not sure that the 35+ years have given the Aggies any comfort around women. Evidenced by their "yell leaders". Say what you will, my Tech education has made me very successful. aTm was not well represented in my post grad professional school class.
