Sims is playing smart and well within the offense. He's "managing the game", which is what Bama typically asks their QBs to do. He is incredibly athletic and has great escapability. The team loves him. Those are all his strengths. He's not a great down-field passer and his accuracy on the move isn't what you'd like. Those are his weaknesses.

Coker was asked to do more in the last game than Sims was (higher percentage of his throws were down-field throws, etc.). He has a significantly stronger arm. His size is more in line with your typical drop-back passer. He has the much higher ceiling than Sims. Those are his strengths. He doesn't fully grasp the offense, his throws seem rushed and off his back foot, and he is forcing the ball down-field instead of taking what the D gives him. Those are his weaknesses.

Bottom line - Bama will be fine with either one and most Bama fans truly don't care which one starts/plays as long as the team performs up to their abilities and wins. Non-Bama fans are the ones constantly talking about how much Bama fans care about the QB's race.
