How far up do we go in the AP Poll? It goes without saying we will be ahead of now-No. 8 Ohio State (I know there's a bias, but losing by 14 at home to an unranked team will drop them) and now-No. 13 Stanford.
The top six all held their ground and will not drop. A&M, Baylor and LSU all blew out terrible teams so they won't fall, neither will USC after a big road win. That leaves three questions then:
1. How far will No. 7 Michigan State fall? They lost to the No. 3 team on the road so I doubt they would fall to 13 behind us. But they lost by 19 and what made them tick, their defense, gave up 46 points. So that is a possibility.
2. Will we jump No. 11 UCLA? They just beat fricking Memphis by seven at home, allowing 35 points to the Tigers. They already fell four spots this week after only beating Virginia by eight. Could that put them at 13, MSU at 12 and Ole Miss at 11?
3. Will Notre Dame jump us? They've looked good and a lot of AP voters still think of Michigan in the Charles Woodson days so a 31-0 beatdown may look better to them than it really was. They're only five points behind us now.
A lot of y'all think rankings are dumb and blah blah blah they shouldn't do it until Week 13 or whatever. I just like seeing a high number next to Ole Miss and think it would be pretty fricking sweet to boast a division with five of the top 11 teams in the country. So what say you, tRebelRant?

I think we move to 13 with ND jumping us.

And then we have 3 weeks for other teams to lose and continue to move up. Top 10 matchup with Alabama? Yikes

I don't think we jump UCLA because they still won and most voters glance at record and preseason hype.We will jump Stanford and Ohio State but I don't know about Michigan State.Notre Dame probably jumps us so I would guess 13 or 14.

We should jump UCLA but we won't I think we jump ahead of tOSU and Stanford which will put us at #13

I think 13 or 14 is most probable

Stanford lost at home fwiw. I think we rise to 12 and into the top 10 in time for the Bama game
