Short of a complete collapse by a few teams ahead of us, we should probably sit tight & get comfy with the team's current position, since I don't see how wins over any of our next 3-4 opponents will do much (anything?) to better our situation. Victories against these guys need to be of the blowout variety

If Oregon beats Michigan State this week, we go up a MINIMUM of one spot. If Ohio State struggles against Virginia Tech or loses, we jump them as well.

If South Carolina beats Georgia on the 13th, that's another spot (not likely, but possible). If somehow Tennessee beats Oklahoma, that's one more.

If Kansas State beats Auburn on the 20th, that's another spot. If Clemson beats Florida State, another.

By the time we play Arkansas, we could be as high as 3rd or as low as 8th.

I could handle all o' that.
Was just perusing our schedule and thinking, "Oy. Some of those are lose/lose situations."
My BAS is in remission, but sometimes it flares up.
