I rewatched the game and I saw Duke catch a hitch or slant or something and cut back to the inside and while he is laying on the ground u see someone seem to stick their finger up his butt and Duke jumps around like WTF!

Straight males account for more sexual assault cases on both gay and straight males than gay males. But who cares about statistics when we can perpetuate stereotypes that set everyone back. Especially when a cheap laugh is on the line

I just think it's weak. Even if you thought it was a disease why would you use that as an avenue for comedy? You hopefully wouldn't do that for people living with other diseases.
Anyway, I'm not very political and I won't be engaging this conversation any further. I think there's a real opportunity in "football culture" to erase negative images of gay athletes. I work with underprivileged children in communities that question their sexuality and many of them practice unsafe behaviors due to stigma associated with being gay in their communities. They would rather risk their health and future than risk social isolation for something they feel they can't change. Its too bad.
