Let's take a poll, and I'm betting most opposing fans will agree with me on that.

In what metric were you better? Any single one will do...
Nvm that we played 3rd team D the entire second half and your starters were in the game deep into the 4th.

They will get butt fricked by LSU in a couple of weeks

The teams are not compatible. It's week fricking one. Ole Miss played a declining Boise team and State played a 1-23 southern miss team. This is a stupid argument to have until at least week 5

Surely you're smart enough to understand that we didn't play the same football team, right?
ETA: Also, to say we kept our "starters in" alludes to a bit of a misunderstanding of our we play defense. Of course we have 11 guys who start, but they don't stay on the field for every single down. We do a shitload of rotation on defense. There were several moments in the game, even in the first half, where guys like Cody Prewitt and Robert Nkemdiche were on the bench. That said, in the 4th, you saw guys like Kendarius Webster and John Youngblood getting a lot more playing time.

That has entirely to do with the offense fricking up and not the defense. Plus, you were playing a 1-24 team. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking that you were even playing a mediocre team. You may have beaten the single worst team in the country, but time will tell.

What a fricking dumbass. The landshark isn't for offensive plays. Steal somebody else's shite for that.

Are you really trying to allude that Boise State and Southern Miss are comparable? Last year, Boise State put up 60 points against Southern Miss. Yes, I know it's not 2013 anymore.

That's what I thought -- No metrics. Except style points through OM glasses.
Arguing that you had a superior defensive performance while giving up 14 to a team that gave up zero in week 1 is pretty close to the dumbest thing I've read on here.

You talk as if we played the same team....

Giving up 14 points is never more impressive than giving up zero points. It's hilarious how quickly an 8-5 team in the Mountain West becomes world-beaters when they shut you down for 3 quarters...

So, by this standard, shutting out Jackson state would be more impressive than holding, let's say Florida state to 14 points?

They gave up 7. I never said they were world beaters, but they are certainly a better team than Southern Miss. It's too early to tell who will have the better defense between the Mississippi schools IMO, they should both be good.
ETA: I thought you were talking about the Boise State/USM game from last year. They only scored 7, and it was 13 points for our game this year.
