I think something that has been largely overlooked is the way in which CNS conditions his QBs. Decision making, protecting the football, and managing the game are the qualities that he drills into each one of them. It may seem like a simple concept, but most QBs view themselves as the stars and feel pressured/obligated to make big plays which sometimes results in forcing things. AJ and CNS have talked candidly about how it took AJ a couple years before he really "got it".

Sims has had several years to learn the Saban way and that is the primary advantage (along with knowledge of the playbook) that he has over Coker IMO.

That. But something I also think people need to consider. I hate seeing people say Coker isn't as good as people thought because he didn't play. We don't know if he's as good as some thought or not, the whole thing with Jake was always potential. By all indications, he has that talent, he's just behind Sims in chemistry and decision making. Stuff like that.

But there is a reason the battle is still ongoing. I'm excited to see what Coker can do so we can get some answers.
