I personally think NM looks more comfortable passing. He ain't JJ, but he's a lot better than this time last year.

Nick Marshall looked exactly the same as last year. Elite runner. Inconsistent passer.
What?

You do realize he should have been 5/6 for roughly 90 yards and a touchdown through the air yesterday, right? Sammie Coates dropped that strike he threw (which was a dime). He was going through progressions and definitely looked better than last year. His foot work and weight distribution while passing was exceptional.

1.) Duke is all we had hoped for and Ray is finally living up to the promise

2.) CAP got stronger as game went on as did OL

3.) Sammie and Ricardo just don't make the plays yet to be next level, if they ever do watch out

4.) Therezie is a different maker, he just plays with a motor no one else does

5.) Adams is more effective at DT than DE, need to start him and Wright inside with Daniel/Owens on outside. That was the strongest front I saw (although Blackson played well in 2nd half)

6.) Carlson has a cannon for a leg

7.) Tre Williams is going to be a monster. He played fast and hit people hard, I think by end of the year he will be the #3 backer

8.) Jones and Reed scare me at DB and we had some breakdowns at safety, A&M game scares me if that doesn't get cleared up

9.) We have 2 SEC QBs that are different but both effective. Johnson only had one bad drive, the last one when he locked in on Duke and missed Sammie wide open. The offense runs at a different pace with Marshall and I thought he looked solid in the pocket. That pass to Sammie was on point

10.) We are starting at a better point than last season.

The last point is what should make everyone excited. Compared to last season we have started at a much better place. OL and DL are only going to get better and I still think defense has shot to be solid this season. Next week I wanna see Marshall make some plays through the air and let guys like Roc, Tre, and Roberts get lots of PT because we are going to need them later this season.

It's going to be a war this year but I think we have the horses to run with anyone. War Eagle!
