If we play like the first game, and they play like their first game, we are going to get beat soundly. We have about 2 weeks to figure some shite out, or this is going to be bad. The DB's gotta find some swagger and Ward is going to have to build a wall on the line of scrimmage to keep the dog RB's from running wild.

Spurrier will be ready for us. I'm more confident than I was a week ago but still nervous

Gurley will run for 200. That doesn't mean SC can't win though. If Carolina can win the turnover battle they can keep it close and might pull one out
If Gurley runs for 200, we win. That means that we are controlling the clock and winning the battle at the line of scrimmage. If we do those things, we win.

Unless Davis runs for 300, then we win, even if Gurley runs for 200....

I agree, if Gurley has a 200 yard day, then the chances of USC winning is slim to none. It'll be interesting to see how the USC defense holds out. I could see this game going similar to the Clemson game with the defense being gassed going into the fourth. As long as our defense keeps the score close going into the latter part of the game, then I think we pull it out in the end.
WB is a tough place to play. It's going to be fun to watch.

We may be gassed in the fourth but not for the same reasons as Clemson. Clemson couldn't establish the run and keep their D off the field; we should be fine so long as Davis gets his head straight. We also have a strong rotation of DTs and LBs. They looked awful against A&M, but there's talent there.
The key to keeping this from becoming a rout is to get pressure on Mason. I doubt even if we can't that he'll carve us up like Hill. Y'all don't have the WRs, for one.
UGA is a better match-up for us. We could still lose by 14, but at least it should feel more competitive than A&M.

Win the turnover battle? You think that D can force a turnover? lol. I hope they can force a punt or a FG/

If that is the key, we are fricked.
It's with a heavy sadness that our domination of uga QB's at home is likely going to end. After what I saw from us on Thursday in regards to Pass Defense...I gotta believe that Mason will have the best game at Williams Brice than any uga QB has had in 12 years.
Here are the stats:
2000 - Quincy Carter - 10-24, 108 yards, 0 TD, 5 INT (lost 21-10)
2002 - David Greene - 11-19, 169 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT (won 13-7)
2004 - David Greene - 19-38, 213 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT (trailed 16-0 but won 20-16)
2006 - Matt Stafford - 8-19, 171 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT (won 18-0)
2008 - Matt Stafford - 15-25, 146 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT (won 14-7)
2010 - Aaron Murray - 14-21, 192 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT (lost 17-6)
2012 - Aaron Murray - 11-31, 109 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT (lost 35-7)
Total (7 games): 88-177, 1,108 yards, 2 TDs, 10 INT

Are you trolling, or just haven't seen us play that much?
Our recievers are pretty damn good.
I know Mitchell may be out (most likely out), but Justin Scott-Wesley should be back.

This is weird. There are more UGa fans on this board right now than Carolina fans. The UGa fans are saying that USC will play close, the Carolina fans expect to lose.
And I don't think anyone in the conference is scared of your receivers, QBs, or passing game.

We don't really need anyone to be scared of any of those. They just need to be respected. As long as that happens, the running game will take care of the rest. I think WheelRoute was being a little disingenuous (or possibly just ignorant) when he said we didn't have the WRs. We definitely have them.

So its been a decade since an UGA QB threw a TD in Williams-Brice?
I didn't know that

That's a pretty crazy stat. Hope Mason's ready.

He's a senior who has an extra week to prepare.
If he's not ready by the time of the Carolina game, he never will be.

Yeah, I agree, but Murray was a 3 year starter and WB got in his head pretty quickly.

Murray had stats and all, but of the recent QBs that UGa has had since Carter, he seemed to me to be weakest mentally. I honestly kinda hated to see him go.

You may be right. From what I've heard, Mason doesn't really get rattled. I guess we'll see.

You are flat out retarded if you think your WRs compare to A&Ms.

Y'all should really put 9 in the box when we're in 2 WR sets. 3 of our top 4 WR will likely be missing from the game now that Conley has a dislocated shoulder. That basically leaves Bennett, a transfer from NC St, and a bunch of guys with almost no experience.if Rumph can somehow find his way on the field then he'd be a matchup nightmare at 6'5", but for one reason or another he can't seem to put it all together.
