I find all the smack talk about the SEC East pretty funny. As a whole it has been a little down the last few years, but there have still been some good teams.

And people also seem to forget that the East (Fla and Tenn) won six of the first seven SECCG and people wondered if the divisions had been made uneven. The West literally just caught up to the east.

Shhhh. The OP still hasn't figured out football was played in the East as late as 2008.

yeah I think its been more a case of parity in the east than being that far down. anytime there isnt a juggernaut there is a perception of that division being down. some people were making that case against the west in years that some combinations of Bama, LSU & AU didnt show a clear leader among the pack and those ended up being some of the best teams in the history of the game. its all about perception.
