Ole Miss is going to have to get their penalties under control going forward. They looked very sloppy and undisciplined. But luckily for them it's the first game and they have time to improve on that. Also, as others have said, their o-line looked terrible and must improve.

To answer the OP's question, I don't think the score really reflects the game as a whole, just the fact that Ole Miss had superior athletes and depth (a very important thing) that won them the game in the fourth.

Ole Miss doesn't need a bruising back, it needs better OG play.

At some point those penalties were ridiculous. How hard is it to wait for the snap?

Going to have to clean up on D as well. Most teams have been practicing scenarios that will lead to targeting. If they consistently hit high like last night they will lose a player to it in most games.

From what wommack said in the postgame, bsu defense was yelling shift then delaying shifting and it caused our oline to jump.

Not saying wommack is accusing bsu of cheating and calling out cadence...just cant remember exactly what he said. It was something along those lines that their shifts and audibles made us jump. Hopefully thatll be fixed

We were using some "first sound snap count" and Boise was calling shifts at the line, which apparently threw our OL off. Once they changed the snap count type the penalties died off.

Hopefully we make other adjustments to the interior OL to help the rungame. We have our bruiser in Wilkins.
