It's not about cheap plays, it's about more plays. Nothing wrong with coaches trying to gain an advantage. It's what they're paid to do.

It's one thing if you're Saban at Bama and can annually recruit the best athletes in the country. That allows the "line-up and see who's better" approach. If you're playing with a relative talent deficiency, you'd be foolish not to try an approach that tilts the playing field in your favor.

Not sure why y'all are blaming saban. Fulmer set the precedent for this when he whined to the league in 2001 when richt brought the no huddle from fsu and we won in Knoxville with it.

The problem was, refs were missing penalties because they were hurrying too much and were out of position. Refs were hurrying up getting the ball in play for HUNH teams. Wasn't right. Supposedly they fixed this problem.
