Has anyone eaten at the Wellness Kitchen? Is it worth the money?

The wife and I are looking to start a restricted diet, so the Wellness Kitchen seems to be a good option. Have any students eaten there? If so, is the food good enough to fork over the extra cash for one of their block plans?

I have heard it is delicious but it costs the naming rights of your first child to afford it

Yeah, we're doing a gluten free thing. It will end up being cheaper for us to get the meal plan. As long as it's tasty, we're game.

It's above average cafeteria food for $17.99 a dinner. But it is a buffet. Pretty similar to golden corral.

Little to no chance we eat there for dinner. Two swipes wouldn't be worth our money. I suppose they set the price as if regular students are on an 8000 calorie diet?
I can live with the $17.99 for breakfast and lunch though.

Don't be lazy and cook for yourself man. You'll save money, acquire a new skill, and your wife will be more receptive to your late night shenanigans.

Oh trust me, I cooked when we weren't here, and am good at it from all accounts. But she is picky, and doesn't do leftovers, so I can't do pre-made meals with her. Taking 18 hours leaves me little time to worry with meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking.

My wife didn't eat leftovers either when we first got married. It took her a while, but she does now.

Monopoly money is what some people call the money you have to put on your tiger card that can only be used on campus. It's 300 bucks unless you live on campus. If you don't use it, the university just keeps it. Hence the term monopoly money. I assure you that's the only kind of money I would just blow like that

Well shite, that sucks. It should roll over. I suppose $5,300 a semester isn't good enough to keep what's mine, but again, thanks for the heads up.

I am on a gluten free diet by choice. Meal prep for each day takes less than 15 minutes. I am mostly on a raw diet. Plenty of fruits and veggies. When I want bread there are sprout bread options. I don't really cook much except for the weekends (usually a home made pizza only about 30 mins total). I eat mostly a green type of shake for dinner that I prep in my vitamix...get all the vitamins etc no cholesterol problems and overall much better health...and very little prep... plus saves a ton of money...just need to figure out what works for your schedule. Also, with this type of eating, I don't get hungry...
