I think Monty Kiffen called in the "I owe you one" that Coach Saban owed him.
Only reason I can come up with.

Bama loses team identity and goes 9-3.
Since when is 9-3 a horrible season? I bet Sumlin would give his right nut for a 9-3 season this year.

Will be an above average offense.

All the polls just have too much bammer in them.

Well... was not serious with prediction.
Since you ask.... IF Bama were to go 9-3 the meltdown on here would be truly epic. It would seem like the apocalypse is upon Bama fans. If Bama somehow went 9-3 it would surely seem like a horrible season to most Bama fans.
Yes, if Sumlin's team goes 9-3 it would be a great season. Of course A&M lost 3 major players on offense and returns a fair number of players from a D ranked somewhere around 100. So yes, this would be a great year with respect to expectations by most media and fans of other schools. Bama not quite in same "expectations" league.

Alabama was 9-3 in 2010. It wasn't near the meltdown you are predicting.

Our QB will be in the heismen conversation by the end often ear.

I think Bama goes 9-3 and the domestic abuse murder rate goes sky high in Alabama with hundreds of shootings in doublewides...and that's just the cousins

When you recruit as well as they have the last several years it's not so difficult to understand
Posted on 8/24/14 at 5:11 pm to reel_gator8
Alabama's schedule only really gives them the opportunity to lose 4 games.

I hope you aren't serious with Alabama having a QB win the heisman this year
Posted on 8/24/14 at 9:35 pm to reel_gator8
Why didn't this happen in 2010?

they don't have a QB who started a single meaningful snap behind an OL with holes.
In 2009 they were ranked #5 in the pre-season AP poll with this.

quote:no kidding. And whats this about superior talent? Last time i checked, Alabama plays in the SEC where the difference in talent level is very small

Until there's a recruiting battle, and then all those #1 classes are brought up.
