He was actually the WR and TE coach at Purdue and OU, respectively.. The only QB's you should mention with Sumlin are Keenum and Manziel.

For me, the jury is still out on Sumlin. Going 8-4 before Duke last year with JFF, Evans, Matthews was quite a disappointment. The past two stops, he's inherited his talent and I'm pretty interested to see how he does this year with more of his own guys.

I'm sure none of that made sense to Aggies and I'm about to get berated.

The jury is still out on him as an entire product due to defense.

Offense - #1 SEC two years in a row
Recruiting - Lights out
Defense - Decent year 1 and Dumpster Fire in year 2

In your opinion why did A&M go 8-4? Was it because the offense underperformed? Because thats where all 3 of those stud players you listed played. Maybe, and stick with me here, A&M lost 4 games because their defense sucked.

Also just as an aside, I think its absolutely hilarious that Sherman is getting credit for Manziel when he only had him during his redshirt season.

How come Sherman isnt getting enough credit for that shitastic defense that was on the field last year?

Manziel doesn't get hurt against AU last year they likely win that game, and maybe don't lose again. The problem with those high octane Offenses is your Defense is on the field quite a bit and gets worn out. Probably has a psychological effect on the Defense as well, thinking their Offense will score and bail them out.
