Josh Heupel was the QB coach when Sumlin was Oklahoma with Bradford. Kevin Wilson was the OC.
Sumlin was co-offensive coordinator.
Look, you all can try to poke holes in his ability as a head coach and developer, but FACT is, he has never finished below 13th in the nation in total offense. How do you explain that?

Sumlin was co-offensive coordinator.
Exactly what responsibility do you think he had as the co-OC/WR coach? You think he was the one calling plays at OU?

Tough to make sense with AU fans. They love to talk about the success Malzahn had as an OC, except 2009 & 2011, that was Chizik's fault.

Sumlin was "co-OC," for one year only, at a school where the head coach does the play calling. But sure, let's give him all the credit for recruiting and developing Sam Bradford. He was also Drew Brees' wide receiver coach, so all the credit in the world for developing Drew Brees.
You can't just take random associations with players and say "ermagahd he coached Sam Bradford, drew Brees, Drew Bledsoe, joe theisman, Jesus Christ himself...sumlin is the best!!"

That he is good at designing a productive offense. Doesn't make him a good QB developer.
