Roger, if by 'black' you mean of African descent, no I don't think he was. I believe (but don't know) that he WAS of a dark complection typical of middle easterners.
And by the way, 'Allah' is just another word for God in a different language. It shouldn't bother us for someone to call God 'Allah'. Where the real difference comes, is in what we believe as to the nature and intent of 'Allah' or 'God'.

Egypt is in Africa and Africa is black. Middle East is more black than white or asian so Middle East = black.

This is your average Lebanese woman today -- and it matches the Egyptian tablet depicting the different races of the region.
Is your average Israeli face, both of these are considered Caucasian as an average.
I have no idea where this concept comes from where people from that region are dark -- the majority are descendants of the early migration of Caucasians that extends all the way to India.
There's a reason why most Persians are considered Caucasian.
Average Iranian woman.
None of these are considered a dark complexion, not even close.
