Both QBs looked decent during the scrimmage. There were a lot of tipped balls and dropped passes by the WRs yesterday. Yeah, Sims and Coker both had their share of mistakes - mainly forcing balls into places where they shouldn't have - but all of that is correctable. I have no doubt that whoever the QB is this year will end up doing a good job during the regular season.

It's the offensive line that is the true question mark. The DL was after the QBs all game long and the RBs could not run the football for shite.

Coker would actually tuck the ball and run with it when he got bull rushed but that doesn't show on his stats because as soon as he started to run with it the whistle would blow the play dead.

Coker is a good runner, to my surprise. Bama has had some guys out on the OL who will be back this week, our DL is much better this year, and the backup RB's got the bulk of the work yesterday. Sims has had 4 years practicing with the coaches, Coker has had 17 days. I expect both to play the 1st couple of games and Coker to win the starting job going into the meat of the schedule.
