I've only seen the 3 quarters against us last year and i won't base an opinion on that game as it was homecoming and were undefeated at the time.
I know he isnt very mobile but what does he bring to the table that makes you think he can do close to what Shaw did
This is not meant as shite talking or a troll, i just honestly would like to know

I'll tell you what Greg McElroy thinks...he thinks them losing the bald headed guy is one of the biggest losses in the SEC this year. That's what I can't tell you about Dylan because I don't know much about the young man...is he a good kicker/tackler/thrower/catcher?

It's really bout the intangibles with him.
He loves his mama and is a good christian boy who has never had sex

He seemed to make USC suck a little.

Spourrier said he doesn't run as much as Shaw, but on occasion he CAN pull it down and run. He indicated they (The coaches) would probably encourage him NOT to run much because of a lack of depth at QB. Now,....that is what Spurrier said yesterday. He also seemed to have pretty good confidence in Thompson, which is saying something.

Yeah but are they fifth year seniors who have never been first on a depth chart?
or never had sex???

He can move, but not nearly as well as Shaw, and it has to be set up i.e. QB draws and keepers on the zone read. Hes not gonna pick up a busted play with his feet like Shaw would.
His best attribute is getting the ball out quickly. He takes his steps and lets the ball go, which is what Spurrier wants in his QB.
He needs to work on taking better care of the football though and his deep passes can hang in the air too long at times

He's got bad decision making at times and he had his fair share of bad plays last year.
Good potential though, eager to learn and lead and looked damn good in 2012. Beat Clemson up @ Clemson. Threw the game winning catch vs Michigan and he was thrown out there willy nilly.
He will be good, but he will make some mistakes.

If he is eager to learn then they can help him with his decision making. I'm sure they have spent a fair amount of time in the film room this past summer.

He throws a great deep ball. Quick release, forces it sometimes. Has won games as a starter, most notably at Clemson two years ago. Threw the winning TD vs. Mich in Outback Bowl. Kind of a gunslinger. Knows the offense really well, can run some and SOS has huge confidence in him.

I remember seeing posts about him beating Clemson. I really respect guys who stick it out buried on the depth chart until they get their chance rather than just transfer out. If the old ball coach is confident then I'm sure he'll be just fine

Throws too many flutters. I hope he has corrected that. If not, Mitch early....He can slang it with the best in the conference.
He went to some kind of camp in the summer. Don't know if this will help.
Rooster and I agree on 90 percent of things Carolina. We don't here.
I simply have no idea. His success really hangs on two things:
1) Is the offensive line as good as advertised. Can its members pull?
2) Williams. Super fast back and we will need him. This is the South, after all and the temperatures don't become good football settings until late September or early October. And I have been to November games in shorts. Davis is no 40-carries-per-game player, good though he is.
3) I am adding this one. Do the young receivers know their routes in Spurrier's complicated scheme?
