Same with Bo and AU in 1985. Pat Washington was our Qb and terrible.
Bo was the ONLY AU player drafted for AU in 1985.
It was the worst record for an AU team under Dye in a 10 year period from 1982-1991. Hell, Dye fired his offensive co-ordinator when the season ended.
Bo was much more impressive than Walker in their respective heisman years. Did more on a much worse team. UGA was playing for the natty in 1982. AU had the worst team in a 10 year stretch under Dye even with Bo destroying 8 in the box.

AUs qbs in 1985 (3 of them) completed 45% of their passes for 1000 yards, 4 tds, and 12 ints.
AU was a complete joke in 1985 outside of Bo. 12 ints to 4 tds? Teams had 1 plan against AU in 85. All 11 defensive players focus on Bo every damn play.
And Bo still ran for what he did.

Bo should have won going away, but it was much closer because voters saw him quit on his team a few times that year.
