Like being in the first nationally televised game in color against Texas, or winning 15 National Titles.

There are others that I can't think of right now that I've known before. I recall some game between us and Ole Miss being the first to do something, but maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

Won the first SEC/Conference championship game.

First Major Conference team to go 14-0

This could be a good thread, and I'll update the OP with any you guys list or any I think of.

We won as many BCS/AP/UPI national titles in 4 years(09-12) than any other SEC team has won in their history. That may not count as a first but it's a very interesting stat nonetheless.

Ohio State went 14-0 in 2002. Alabama may have been the first to go 13-0 though.

I'm surprised no one said we're the first team to win back to back championship in the BCS era. ( I don't count USC's 03 title)

The Scott Hunter vs. Archie Manning game. I believe that was the first nationally televised primetime college game.

Bama won the first Bowl Alliance (later BCS) title against Miami. Never before had the #1 and #2 team been matched in a bowl.

I also believe Bama was the first southern team to beat an Ivy League team when y'all beat Penn in the early 20's I think. It was a huge upset at the time and i remember reading that the score of the game was put up on a wall outside a laundromat or something in tuscaloosa and didn't come down for like 30 years.
